I have always believed that knowledge is power. And education and learning are my passions. It was only natural for me to focus on training, mentoring and supervision in my Social Work career. Whether personal or professional, I have seen the positive impact that knowledge can have on an individual’s growth and choices.
I have always enjoyed partnering with social work students and social workers to help grow clinical skills and confidence in their Social Work identity. Clinical Social Work Supervision is a commitment to your career, professional skills, knowledge, and attitudes. And, it is my commitment to you to create a learning environment focused upon trust, mutual respect, authenticity and honesty. It is a humbling experience to be part of your journey to become a Social Worker and for clinical licensure.
My supervision style focuses on understanding your unique learning style and draws upon the strengths/humanistic perspective, cognitive-behavioral model, development models, problem solving approach, positive psychology and person-in-the-environment approach. Our supervision time will focus on achieving competency in clinical social work skills, including assessment, treatment planning, evidence-based clinical interventions, and documentation, and in preparing you for the Texas Social Work Clinical exam. I will work hard to create and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment for questions, interactions, and feedback.
It is this commitment to education and professional growth, that I provide quality online continuing education for social workers. I search academic journals, reports and professional resources that are evidence-based. These readings will enhance your Social Work practice, values, skills, and knowledge and aid you to be confident in your Social Work identity. I will provide a variety of topics that Social Workers encounter, including health, mental health, ethics, children and families. My goal is to provide you access to current trending topics, quality continuing education at an affordable price.
